Fifteen years of hopes and explorations have flown by.
Fifteen years of establishing the concept of design and the status of the designer.
Fifteen years uniting professionals and enthusiasts in the field of design through creative work. This period brought many upheavals and changes, but we endured them, remaining faithful to our creative ideals and professional friendship.
Design today represents a new dimension of time, new artistic and structural solutions. The more rapidly the world around us changes, the more relevant the importance of beauty, art and design becomes.
In contemporary design, there are no clear academic canons, no rules determining drawing, form or color. Technology, individuality and the accompanying financing serve as the criteria of style.
Design should not remain at the level of an idea; it must be implemented, brought to completion and creatively comprehended. The more success a designer achieves, the faster he moves forward. Progress requires the search for a balance: creativity and the client, material and traditions, the material environment and time.
The latest achievements of design, the entire atmosphere surrounding this “mysterious” term - are a phenomenon of artistic discoveries and sensations. Sometimes it manifests itself independently of our endeavors and efforts, drawing upon social phenomena and “know-how.”
The problem today lies not in talent and professionals, but in the “advancement” of ideas, the preparedness of the client, the sophistication of the consumer capable of accepting the new; not thinking in terms of “here and now,” but being ready for “tomorrow.”
A designer’s creative work must keep pace with the times, even staying ahead of them; otherwise the creation will be uninteresting and outdated.
Design today means well-established production and new technologies.
Design today means qualified professionals, creative studios and laboratories. Design today means a new future.
